Yes*. XT25 devices capture true odometer and true engine hours directly from the vehicle rather than relying on manual entry or estimated mileage. This data flows into Reports and Maintenance. New XT25 installs have this enabled by default; existing XT25 accounts are being enabled gradually — contact Support to request activation for your fleet.

How is the device installed? What installation steps are taken to conceal the device or prevent tampering?

The customer has the option of installing the device two ways:

Can the XT25 be installed using a hardwired installation method?

Yes, through the use of the XT25 OBDII to Hardwired Harness, a user can wire ignition, constant, and ground as they would any other hardwire install. The device will then revert to direct ignition power and/or motion to report movement/trips data. Refer to the XT25 Conventional Hardwire installation guide for instructions.

Which carriers are supported for the device?

What is the average power draw?

With ignition on and device actively reporting = ~75-80mA
With ignition off, device awake = ~60mA
With ignition off, device asleep* = ~2-5mA

Can specific data collected by the device (e.g., DTCs) be prioritized over other types of data colllected by the device in case of low connection?

No, not at this time. In the instance that the device is unable to connect or maintains low cellular connectivity, the device will store all data and send once connection strength has been restored.

How many points are stored by the device in case cellular/satellite connection is lost?

Yes. In addition to a direct plug-and-play option for light-duty vehicles, the XT25 supports both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicle installations with a single cable.

Yes, using a wired fob and reader solution paired with the XT25 I/O Extender, the device can support Driver ID.

Does the XT25 support Bluetooth Fob Driver ID?

No, not at this time.

Why is my device making noise when I start my vehicle?

If your XT25 starts beeping after the ignition is turned on it is likely reminding the driver to scan their Driver ID fob on the reader. This ensures the driver is correctly assigned to the vehicle for the trip.

How long will the buzzer stay on if I don't fob in?

The buzzer will continue until either fob detection (driver logs in) or Ignition Off. If you'd prefer not to use Driver ID, contact support and we can disable it on your device.
