The Dashcam Admin page is where you can view and manage all dashcams in your account — including naming devices, assigning them to vehicles, reviewing last communication timestamps, and adjusting settings.
📝 Note: Dashcams must be assigned to a vehicle in the portal for the service to function as intended.
Assigning Dashcams to Vehicles
A critical step in deploying dashcams is assigning each device to its corresponding GPS tracking unit (hardwired or OBDII) in the portal.
📝 Note: Media will not appear or be saved in the portal until a dashcam is assigned.
During installation, you should have recorded the dashcam's serial number, IMEI, or Activation Number.
On the Dashcam Admin table, locate the Serial # and Activation # columns. If they aren't visible, click the three dots in the top right corner of the table, select Edit Table Columns, and enable them.
At least one of these numbers will match a number printed on the device — either the Serial Number (sometimes labeled "ESN") or the IMEI.
Use the appropriate number to search for the device in the corresponding column. The Name column will default to the Serial Number or IMEI until a name is assigned.
Once you've located the dashcam, click its hyperlinked name or click the three dots and select Edit Dashcam.
On the right side of the dashcam's page, find the Assigned Vehicle Information section.
Use the dropdown to search for and select the vehicle the dashcam is installed in.
Click Save in the top right corner.
Applying Settings
Many dashcam settings can be adjusted remotely on a per-device basis. Available settings vary by model.
Locate the dashcam you want to update and click its hyperlinked name or select Edit Dashcam from the three-dot menu.
Below the Assigned Vehicle Information section, find Camera Settings.
Click Adjust On-Camera Settings to open a panel with available toggles.
Make your changes and click Update Settings.
Most changes take effect immediately if the dashcam is online, or the next time it connects.
Last Communication
The Last Communication field shows the last time a dashcam checked in with the portal — this includes coming online, sending media, or any other type of communication.
For actively used dashcams, expect a Last Communication timestamp within the last 48–72 hours. Use the sort function on this column to identify devices that may have been removed or are no longer communicating.
