What is Asset Tracking?	Assets like trailers, generators, light towers, tool cribs, and compressors have their own category in ClearPathGPS. Attach them to the truck carrying them, and they'll show under that vehicle on the map. Any tracker on your account can be classified as an Asset.
Can I switch a tracker between Vehicle and Asset?	Yes. Open the tracker from Admin > Vehicles or Admin > Assets, and on the Settings/Device tab use the Device Type toggle. If the tracker has current attachments, you'll be asked to confirm first.
How do I attach an asset to a vehicle?	Open the vehicle on the Map, click Edit Attached Assets, pick the asset from the dropdown, and Save. You can also start from the asset side by clicking Edit Attached Vehicle.
How many vehicles can an asset be attached to at once?	One. A vehicle, on the other hand, can have as many attached assets as you need.
What happens if I attach an asset that's already attached to another vehicle?	You'll see a confirmation prompt. If you continue, the asset moves to the new vehicle automatically.
Can drivers attach and detach assets from the mobile app?	Yes.
Where do I set up the Low Tracker Battery alert?	Go to Alerts > Create Alert > Low Tracker Battery. Pick the assets or groups it applies to, choose your recipients, and Save.
Can I put assets and vehicles in the same group?	Yes. Add or remove them from any group under Admin > Groups.
How do assets show up on the Map?	The Map list panel has three tabs: All shows vehicles, vehicles with attached assets, and unattached assets. Vehicle shows vehicles and vehicles with attached assets. Asset shows attached assets and unattached assets. Attached assets appear through the vehicle's pin, which carries a chain link icon with the attachment count. Opening an attached asset displays both the asset and its vehicle on the map.
How do I see which vehicle an asset was riding with in the past?	Open the asset and view Map History. The Attached Vehicle column shows which vehicle was attached at each timestamp.
My asset isn't reporting. What should I check?	Confirm the tracker has power and is within cellular range. If it's still not reporting, contact ClearPathGPS Support.
