About the OEM Integration
Overview
OEM Integration lets you track OEM-eligible vehicles using telematics data sourced directly from the manufacturer—no tracking device required.
Currently supported manufacturers include Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota, Tesla, and Hino. Once an OEM-connected vehicle is set up, it appears on the Map, in Reports, and in Driver Scorecard alongside your hardware-tracked vehicles.
How to Activate OEM Tracking
-
Identify your OEM-eligible vehicles.
Supported manufacturers are Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota, Tesla, and Hino. Your account rep can run a fleet-wide eligibility check, or you can check a single vehicle from Vehicle Details using Check OEM Compatibility.
Contact your account rep or ClearPathGPS Support with the manufacturers and vehicles you want to enroll.
They handle consent with each manufacturer (required once per manufacturer, not per vehicle).
Look for your vehicles in Vehicle Admin.
Enrolled vehicles appear with the OEM Compatibility column set to OEM Setup Required.
You're live when the status changes to OEM Connected.
Data typically begins flowing within 1 business day.
Viewing OEM Status in Vehicle Admin
The Vehicle Admin table includes an OEM Compatibility column showing each vehicle's status:
OEM Setup Required — the vehicle is in your account, but is not yet receiving OEM data
OEM Connected — the vehicle is set up and reporting OEM data
Replacing a VIN on an OEM Vehicle
If an OEM vehicle is decommissioned and you want to assign its OEM tracking to a replacement vehicle, you can swap the VIN. The VIN on an OEM-connected vehicle is locked by default, so you confirm before changing it.
Open the vehicle and go to Vehicle Information.
Click Edit VIN next to the locked VIN field.
Confirm in the prompt that you want to end the existing OEM connection.
Enter the new VIN and click Save.
After saving, the Year, Make, and Model auto-populate from the new VIN, and the Check OEM Compatibility option becomes enabled, allowing you to re-run the eligibility check.
Available Data You Will See
OEM-connected vehicles work alongside your hardware-tracked vehicles across the Map, Driver Scorecard, alerts, and reports.
OEM-connected vehicles report:
Movement — ignition status, heading, direction changes
Driver Behavior — speeding, hard acceleration, hard braking, hard cornering, idling
Vehicle Health — engine speed, RPM (if available), fuel level, oil level, tire pressure, fault codes (DTCs)
Usage — odometer, engine hours
Some data points depend on what the manufacturer exposes, so available fields may differ between vehicles.
Where Your OEM Integration Appears
Your OEM Integration is visible under Admin > Integrations, showing your connection status, the date connected, and your account information.
