All dashcams are shipped fully activated and include a TR-27 adhesive “Arm” mount.
This mount allows for the dashcams to be installed in the best location in any type of vehicle and for your needs.
It is important to spend time considering exactly where to mount the dascham.
It is advised that you connect the dashcam to power and secure the dashcam in the arm mount ‘cradle’ to test a few locations before permanently affixing the mount in the vehicle.
Required Hardware
To complete the installation of your dashcam you will need the following items (all of which come standard in any dashcam order):

In addition to the above, you may also need some of the following additional/optional cables depending on your vehicle and how you're choosing to install the dashcam:

Installing the Power Cable
Step 1
Before you start installing the power cable, be sure you have considered and chosen exactly where to mount your dashcam. Read through the steps on Mounting (below), as this will determine exactly where you need to route your dashcam power cable.
Step 2
Locate your OBD or JBUS port. If you are using a Y cable or JBUS adapter, make sure you have these available.
Step 3
Plug the OBD Power cable into the vehicles port (using a Y cable or JBUS adapter as necessary) and securely tuck away the power cable up towards the A frame. Use zip ties as necessary.
Step 4
Next, either route the cable up the "A Pillar" and along the headboard of the vehicle or along the front of the dash depending on your mounting location. Ensure you have enough cable to reach the location where your dashcam will be mounted.
Step 5
Once you have routed the power cable to the appropriate location and your mount is in place (see 'Mounting'), connect it to the dashcam, then lock both the dashcam and power cable into the mount using the provided allen key.
Installing the Dashcam Mount
Step 1
Start by considering the optimum location for the dashcam in the vehicle. In most cases this is a centered position, high on the windshield with the dashcam inverted so that it's mounted upside down. In the picture below you can see a dashcam being tested in a position just in front of the rear view mirror so that that the driver facing camera hangs just below the mirror.
Step 2
Make adjustments to dashcam mount as needed by loosening the two hex sockets. This will allow you to turn the ball joints at either end as well as twist the center of the arm.
Step 3
Attach the 3M sticker to the bottom of the mount and peel off the otherside before adhering it to your chosen location. It's often best to wipe down your chosen mounting location with an alcohol wipe before sticking it down.
Step 4
If you've not already connected and routed your dashcam power cable from the OBD port along the doorjamb and across the headboard/front of the windshield, do this now. The dashcam should power up immediately and show a loading/boot screen.
If you have already routed your power cable then connect it to the dashcam. Be sure to take note of the dashcam's serial number (this is printed on the base of the dashcam, on the box, and often on the screen protector).
Step 5
Place the dashcam into mount cradle; the power cable should also be held in place by the cradle. Use the provided allen key to secure the screw on the back side of the cradle and lock the dashcam in place.
Step 6
Make any necessary final adjustments and ensure all sockets/screws are firmly secured. The dashcam is now installed and recording footage! Using the serial number of your dashcam you can now move onto assigning it to a vehicle within the web portal.
