Installing:
The blue wire for the CalAmp PTO is biased high. That is, it will read PTO On when the pressure switch is grounded.
The orange wire for the CalAmp PTO is biased low. It will read PTO On when the wire receives 12v.
So choose either the blue or the orange wire, depending on whether your PTO circuit is grounded or hot when the pump is on. To check whether the pump is reading On or Off, see Testing in the next step.
Testing:
To view the PTO On/Off signals:
Log into the portal: https://portal.clearpathgps.com
Navigate to Reports -> Vehicle Detail
Select the vehicle on the top left
Click "Get Report"
View the PTO On/Off signals in the list of events and ensure that Pump On events are showing when the pump is on, and Off events are showing when the pump is off. If these are backwards contact support and we will flip them internally.
Labeling the PTO:
To change the label of the PTO input, contact support and our team will modify the wording. For example: 'Pump' can be changed to 'Winch/Lift Gate/Diesel/etc.' On/Off:
