Getting Started with the Analytics Dashboard

Overview

Think of the Analytics Dashboard as your fleet's mission control — everything you need to know about utilization, safety, driver behavior, and trends, all in one view. See a tile that catches your eye? Click it to dive into the full report.

Every ClearPathGPS Pro account comes with a pre-built Default Dashboard to get you started. When you're ready, you can build your own too — up to 25 dashboards per user (not shared between users), so there's plenty of room to set things up exactly how you like them. 

How to Open Your Dashboards

1. Click Dashboards in the left navigation — it's the second item, right under Map.
   
   

💡 Tip: First time here? You'll land on the pre-built Default Dashboard automatically.

How to Set Your Home Dashboard

If you've got a go-to dashboard, you can set it to open automatically every time you visit Dashboards — no extra clicks needed.

1. Open the dashboard you want to use as your home.
2. Click the star icon in the dashboard header.
   
   

📝 Note: You can only have one home dashboard at a time. Starring a new one swaps out the old favorite.

How to Create a New Dashboard

Building your own dashboard is quick — here's how:

1. Click the dashboard name at the top of the page.
2. Select + Create a New Dashboard.
3. Click the pencil icon to give it a name.
4. Click the + button to start adding tiles.

How to Add a Tile

Tiles are the building blocks of your dashboard, and you've got two types to work with:

• Summary Tile — a quick snapshot of totals and averages.
• Data Visualization Tile — charts that show trends and comparisons over time. Here's what you can choose from:
  • Top 5 / Bottom 5 — see your best- and worst-performing vehicles side by side for one metric.
  • Average vs. Total Over Time — track how totals and averages shift across a date range.
  • Aggressive Driving Over Time — spot trends in harsh acceleration, braking, and cornering.
  • Speeding Over Time — compare Max Speed against Posted Road Speed over time.
  • Fleet Scorecard — check your fleet's average driver score, plus who's leading and who needs a little coaching.
  • Driver Score Impact by Event — find out which behaviors are moving the needle most on your fleet's driver score.

To add one:

1. Click the + button on your dashboard.
2. Choose Summary Tile or Data Visualization Tile, then click Next.
3. Pick your metric, give the tile a name, and set your Group and Date Range filters.
4. Click Add Tile.

How to Edit or Delete a Tile

1. Click the Ellipsis button (...) on the tile you'd like to change.
   
   
    
2. Click Edit Tile.
3. Update the fields and save by clicking Save Changes — or, if it's no longer useful, click Delete Tile in the bottom-left corner.
   
   

How to Rearrange Tiles

Want things in a different order? Easy:

1. Click and hold anywhere on the tile.
   
   
    
2. Drag it to its new spot.
3. Click Save All Changes to lock it in.
   
   

How to Rename or Delete a Dashboard

1. Click the pencil icon to give your dashboard a new name.
   
   
    
2. Click the trash icon to delete it.
   
   
    

How to Open the Full Report from a Tile

1. On any Data Visualization Tile, click Run Report to jump into the full report — it'll carry over the same filters you already set.
   
   

📝 Note: Summary Tiles pull from a few different data sources at once, so they don't link out to a single report the way Data Visualization Tiles do.

✅ Good to know: Inactive vehicles are hidden by default, so if a vehicle's missing from a tile, that's likely why.
